100 points: Midterm exam #1

100 points: Midterm exam #2

100 points: Final Exam

120 points: Best 12 Discussion session scores, 10 points each


420 points TOTAL


Grading Scale

 

The plus/minus grading system will be used to assign grades according to the following scale:

  408-420 = A+     366-377 = B+     324-335 = C+     282-293 = D+
  391-407 = A      349-365 = B      307-323 = C      265-281 = D      0-251 = F
  378-390 = A-     336-348 = B-     294-306 = C-     252-264 = D-

The grade cut-offs may be lowered on the basis of the point distribution (i.e. the final grades might be curved).


S/U Grading

 

In order to receive a grade of S, students are required to take all exams and quizzes, complete all assignments, and earn a grade of C- or better. Conversion from letter grading to credit only (S/U) grading is subject to university deadlines. Refer to the Registration and Records calendar for deadlines related to grading.
