Grading Scale |
The plus/minus grading system will be used to assign grades according to the following scale: 243-250 = A+ 218-224 = B+ 193-199 = C+ 168-174 = D+ 233-242 = A 208-217 = B 183-192 = C 158-167 = D 0-149 = F 225-232 = A- 200-207 = B- 175-182 = C- 150-157 = D- The grade cut-offs may be lowered on the basis of the point distribution (i.e. the final grades might be curved). |

S/U Grading |
In order to receive a grade of S, students are required to take all exams and quizzes, complete all assignments, and earn a grade of C- or better. Conversion from letter grading to credit only (S/U) grading is subject to university deadlines. Refer to the Registration and Records calendar for deadlines related to grading. For more details refer to http://www.ncsu.edu/policies/academic_affairs/courses_undergrad/REG02.20.15.php. Remember that Microbiology majors are required to take this course for a letter grade. |
